Karen Grishaber is a personal branding specialist and job search coach who marshals her marketing, training and facilitating skills to provide structured support for professionals in transition. She also helps individuals identify and express their unique gifts to promote and differentiate their personal brand.
Having successfully bounced back from several downsizings, Karen learned firsthand what works and how to work through what doesn't. When her division at Abbott Labs was acquired, she helped the 80 displaced employees organize their job searches, including conducting workshops and facilitating support groups.
Karen worked for trade groups and professional societies before focusing on corporate branding at Fortune 500 companies Rockwell, GE and Abbott. She founded the Women’s Exchange of Milwaukee, a professional networking group that helped women make the right job and/or business connections for more than 12 years. As a Dress for Success volunteer, she also coaches disadvantaged women in career development programs.
