Jody Jankovsky, Founder and Managing Member of Black|Line Consulting, has acquired considerable experience in addressing client needs throughout his 30-year career in the IT industry. Mr. Jankovsky holds a B.S. in Computer Science with an emphasis on Accounting from Illinois State University and has continued his professional education through numerous technical and business focused classes and organizations.
Mr. Jankovsky started his career providing software development services to small businesses while still attending Illinois State, while working weekends and breaks. In addition to school and work, Mr. Jankovsky was also a member of the Division One Illinois State Soccer team where he developed valuable discipline and leadership skills. Upon graduation, Mr. Jankovsky continued his career with Arthur Andersen S.C., a then premier public accounting firm, followed by Greenbrier and Russell a large IT Consultancy. In 1993, Mr. Jankovsky transitioned from a corporate Systems Engineering role to forming Black|Line Consulting focusing small and mid-sized businesses, which he identified as a very under-serviced market.
Mr. Jankovsky has developed a unique set of skills throughout his career that combines deep technical knowledge with seasoned business experience. This combination of skills insures the appropriate balance between the needs of a business with the IT solutions available. In addition, a long service career has taught Mr. Jankovsky, and his entire team, the significance of addressing a business’s day-to-day technology needs with the appropriate level of urgency.
Mr. Jankovsky serves on the Board of local non-profit organizations, is actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America and regularly donates his time to a number of community organizations and events.
